Classic Menu Style

It will be easier to you to follow the instructions, if you change the default Suse menu style. To change it, click with the right mouse button on the green suse menu icon in the lower left corner of the screen, and choose Switch to Classic Menu Style.

Desktop Settings

Starting with OpenSUSE 11.2 the KDE4 desktop replaces KDE3. KDE4 is quite different than the old desktop.

If you like old fashioned behavior of your Desktop, you can change the settings to be similar to those in KDE3. Click with right mouse button somewhere on the Desktop. From the menu choose Desktop Settings.

In the Desktop Settings window, click the Activity icon, and then click the Type button to open drop down menu.

From the menu choose the Folder View , and click OK.

Now, the Desktop behaves like that one in KDE 3.5.
