ArahWeave’s new space‑saving feature for fabric technical data
We’ve added a new space‑saving feature in ArahWeave to optimize the generation of fabric technical data. When converting HTML to PDF or embedding images directly into HTML to create a single file, the program can now automatically remove the separate image files, which are typically no longer needed. This helps keep your HTML directory uncluttered and, if your data is stored in a cloud service such as Dropbox, it also reduces storage consumption and speeds up synchronization.
While the improvement may seem minor at first, it becomes crucial for users with large datasets—some have created more than 100,000 fabrics, resulting in up to half a million files in their HTML directories. With this feature, the total number of files can be cut by three to four times. For those working with dobby designs, this means Dropbox’s free 2GB plan can remain sufficient for several more years before hitting its limit.

In Save technical data as HTML, check the Delete temporary files icon

The unnecessary files in data/html will be automatically deleted after saving.
