ArahWeave 10.5 – Faster, Lighter, Better
In the new version of ArahWeave 10.5 we have upgraded our compression engine from zlib to Zstd and tested it on a real customer dataset of 10,000 files. The benefits are immediate:
- Smaller files: depending on the fabric file type, size is reduced by 10–30%
- Lower memory usage and lighter network load
- Lower cloud storage costs
- Faster browsing: the first-time opening of files through the Browser is now 20% faster
- Faster saving and faster icon creation
After the update, all new files will automatically be more compact. If you want to convert your existing fabric archive, use Alt + S: the files will switch to the new format while preserving their original modification dates.
