Arahne brings digital weaving to the “Knots and Patterns 2026” exhibition
Arahne is stepping into the art world once again. We’re proud to share that our technology and expertise are part of the newly opened exhibition “Knots and Patterns 2026”, hosted at Stolp Škrlovec in Kranj.
As part of the project, our weaving software was used at the NTF, University of Ljubljana, to develop the textile patterns featured at the exhibition. Beyond the digital work, we also had the pleasure of collaborating directly with British artist Armando D. Cosmos, assisting him in preparing and weaving his impressive large‑scale tapestry at Tessitura Grassi in Italy.
A heartfelt thank‑you goes to Zala Orel, whose dedication made this project possible and encouraged visitors to reflect on the once‑thriving textile industry of Kranj, an important piece of Slovenia’s cultural heritage.
