New digital collection of patterns by Spinhoven
We’ve digitized a new collection of patterns from Co Spinhoven: Celtic Charted Designs. While this book focuses on needlecraft rather than weaving, many of the patterns can be interpreted as weaves or can serve as components for jacquard imagery.
The digitized collection contains 405 files in total:
- 341 black-and-white designs, saved as weave files—ready to open directly in the ArahWeave Weave Editor or ArahPaint.
- 54 color designs, saved in the .ari image format, in 3 colors. If you open it as a weave it is automatically converted to black and white.
Both of of the file types can be used as weaves or images.
To open .ari files, make sure your Arahne software is up to date. If you’re using a version that supports automatic updates, you can download it directly in ArahWeave via Help > Download update. If your version doesn’t include this feature, we’ll provide the update file for you manually.
