New custom color profile for Epson ET‑8500 & ET‑8550
We’ve created a custom color profile for Epson’s latest EcoTank photo printers, the ET‑8500 (A4) and ET‑8550 (A3). Both models come equipped with a built‑in scanner and use a six‑color bottled‑ink system, offering excellent value and impressive print quality. Epson provides the Linux driver for these printers, though it currently supports only full‑page output.
Measuring colors with spectrophotometer&color gamut
Our profile is specifically tuned for matte photo paper. For the best results, be sure to select the PMMATT_HIGH print‑quality option in your print dialog. You’ll notice a surprisingly wide color gamut, with blacks that are exceptionally deep and richly saturated — a standout feature for printers in this class.
